Still I Rise - Event to Raise Awareness on Domestic Violence in Gwinnett County

Did you know that GA now ranks number 6th in the nation for intimate partner violence?  According to the study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), in Georgia, more than 100 teens and young adults lost their lives in 2010 to intimate partner violence.

On October 19th, 2013, Sistas Circle, Inc., will be hosting an event Still I Rise to Honor Survivors and Raise Awareness on Domestic Violence.  This event will take place at the First United Methodist Church, located at 395 W. Crogan St. Lawrenceville, GA.  The event will begin at 3:00PM until 7:00PM, and our tickets are available now on Eventbrite http://sistascirclestillirise-eac2.eventbrite.com/

Sistas Circle Inc. is a nonprofit organization that has been in operating since 2006, to empower, support, and assist women and girls of Gwinnett County and in the surrounding areas.

This event is a part of an annual campaign of activities hosted by Sistas Circle Inc., to educate families, churches and our community about the reality of Domestic Violence against women and our adolescents in GA.  This campaign will also provide support to victims and survivors of these crimes and to draw attention to the work that has been done to end domestic violence.  The event is being sponsored by Loving Hut Restaurant and Mary Kay Cosmetics.
