The cafe in downtown Norcross will allow tasters to guess the scents and flavors of four different wines.
Downtown Norcross' 45 South Cafe will have a blind wine tasting Wednesday, March 6, as part of its monthly wine tasting series. For $10, guests will be able to try four different wines and try to guess the scents, flavors and possibly the varietals based only on smell and taste. No, guests won't be blindfolded, but the bottles will be covered, according to 45 South co-owner Jeanette Osowski. Wine connoisseur Michelle Nguyen-Foust will host the event. Looking for something to do tonight? 45 South Cafe is having a "walk-up" wine tasting where guests can try out the wines when they please. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the event will have six different wines from Bacco, a local wine boutique. Owner Teresa Ely will be available to talk about the concoctions, and there will be a 10 percent discount on all wine purchases. Glasses of wine also can be purchased for $4.50.
