Fathers and their daughters boogied to celebrate Valentine's Day.
More than 100 fathers and daughters participated in Friday's Daddy-Daughter Valentine's Dance at the Pinckneyville Community Center in Norcross. The dance, which included snacks, photos, face-painting and crafts, was one of many Valentine's Day-themed events sponsored by the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department.
Now through Valentine’s Day, dogs and cats can be adopted for a $30 cash medical fee.

There may have been a sneak peak of the show last week, but Kudzu Art Zone's first exhibit of the year, "Song in My Heart," is having its official opening reception tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Running until April 28, the show features work inspired by “dreams and imaginations” in different styles and mediums, according to a statement from the gallery. "This exhibit is a look into the deep places of our hearts and minds," Kudzu's website says. Wine and refreshments will be available to guests, too, making it a perfect date night for Valentine's Day weekend. Also at Kudzu, check out the "Wall of Small." Downtown Norcross is following its tradition of horse-drawn carriages on the day of love, but it's also added vow renewals to this year's activities.
