Get into the holiday spirit with some shopping at The Little Red Barn Sale, Norcross' Farmers Harvest Market and Christmas Wish Listing. Downtown's Third Thursday Arts Party also is happening with a night filled with films.
Updated, 2:26 p.m. It's well into November, and with that comes the holidays and seasonal events. Before all the holiday sparkle, though, is this month's Third Thursday Arts Party. Starting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15, Kudzu Art Zone, The Nest, and Vargas & Harbin Studio Gallery are hosting an evening of short film screenings ranging from 3 minutes to 30 minutes. Watch the films made by local videographers, producers and directors, and meet them, too. Hop on the Norcross Art Cart to switch from downtown venues, and make sure to grab a Norcross Art Cup for drinking along the way. What's going on in Norcross this weekend? Well, for starters, the arts just never stops in Norcross. This week is the second month of the Third Thursday Arts Party, with live music, exhibitions and culinary treats. Check out work from local photographers at Vargas & Harbin Gallery Studio and Kudzu Art Zone for the metro-wide Atlanta Celebrates Photography event. Chalk It Up Norcross will have interactive fun, and there'll also be exciting things at Bella Vita Gallery, The Nest, and Anna Balkan's Jewelry Studio. The first monthly art walk in Norcross was a huge hit with wine, hors devours, and of course, art.
Hundreds gathered on the streets of Norcross to check out the mixed media, sculptures and other types of pieces in downtown's first Third Thursday Arts Party. Galleries such as the Vargas & Harbin Studio Gallery and Bella Vita Gallery were celebrating the occasion, along with The Nest, Kudzu Art Zone, and many of the restaurants and shops downtown. Norcross loves its arts scene.
The weekend is starting a bit earlier this week with Norcross' first Third Thursday Arts Party. Head to historic downtown Thursday, Sept. 20, for arts galore: Vargas & Harbin Studio Gallery will be celebrating its first year anniversary of being in Norcross, and Bella Vita Gallery next door is making its grand opening to the city. Come celebrate the arts in Norcross this Thursday with almost every shop in downtown.
Historic Downtown Norcross is having its first-ever monthly art walk this week with its Third Thursday Arts Party. Many different venues downtown will be participating in the event, which will start at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. Vargas & Harbin Studio Gallery will be celebrating its first anniversary in Norcross with a wine reception and light appetizers, and next door, the photograph and mixed media studio Bella Vita Gallery is debuting its doors in Norcross. Other art galleries Kudzu Art Zone and The Nest also will be open, and Anna Balkan Designer Jewelry Gallery will be available to passersby, too, according to the A Place to Imagine website.
