Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, five judges spent more than 4-and-a-half hours driving through every neighborhood in the entire community for Norcross' annual Holiday Yard Decorating Contest. The judges commented that the houses that were the best lit up tended to get the most attention, as they are easier to enjoy at night, when most people will be out driving around and enjoying decorations. They added that it was a tough decision (as proven by the number of Honorable Mentions!) to choose which homes earned the titles of being the most whimsical, best traditional and more, because there were so many wonderfully creative decorations on homes throughout the community. The Norcross High Players presents the story of the cold-hearted, miserly Scrooge in Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." Having debuted already Wednesday, the performance also will run at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $10 for priority seating. Although not entirely holiday-related, nothing screams the end of the year like a football game. The Norcross High Blue Devils will be playing at home against Colquitt County in the semifinals this Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, and apparently, Colquitt has requested 3,000 tickets, so expect a large crowd. If you haven't already, check out the Santa …
