Monday is the last day to get those nominations in for Readers' Choice.
In June, Patch launched a new version of Readers' Choice where users could nominate the best parks, restaurants and shops in Norcross. Spanning 25 categories, the revamped Readers' Choice has had nominations on places such as where to get the best margarita to which salon gives the best hair men's hair cut. The nomination period is now coming to a close, and it will end at approximately 11:59 p.m. Monday, July 9. If you haven't participated yet or if you want to submit more favorite places, do it before it's too late. Go to the Readers' Choice main page, and click on as many categories as you want, and comment with your nominations before midnight. The Buford Highway establishment won pet boarding and day care in Norcross.
This week, Patch had a Readers' Choice poll where readers voted on the best pet boarding and day care. The poll is now closed, and the winner is: Camp Woof. Camp Woof, which has three locations in the metro area, offers day care and boarding services for dogs of all kinds. Whether someone brings in a dog that's fully trained or doesn't play well with others, Camp Woof will take in dogs of all kinds of obedience. The establishment also offers DIY dogwashes, a Pet Food Supercenter, expert grooming services and professional obedience training. Camp Woof is located at 4590 Buford Highway and can be contacted at 770-558-6100. All votes went to Camp Woof in this week's poll, leaving Man's Best Friend and Companion Animal Hospital in the dust.

The location on Indian Trail beat the other frozen treat spots for Best Ice Cream in Norcross.
This week's Readers' Choice was Best Ice Cream, and the votes have been casted. The winner is: Bruster's on Indian Trail Road. While it's a nationwide chain, Bruster's is an old-fashioned ice cream shop that also offers sundaes, smoothies, frozen yogurt, sherbert, ice cream cake and more. Its outdoor seating is oftentimes a spot to see families and teenagers relaxing while devouring their frozen treats before they melt. At the particular 1590 Indian Trail Rd. location, every Thursday is banana day, where customers can get 50 percent off a banana split if they bring their own bananas.
