A South Carolina man who was arrested in Gwinnett County on firearms charges also is charged with threatening the life of President Obama on Facebook. Patrick Randell McIntosh, 28, of Charleston, S.C., was arraigned in federal court Wednesday (February 27) in Atlanta for making "violent and disturbing threats online and via email, including a threat to the life of the President of the United States," according to a statement. According to federal authorities in Atlanta, McIntosh was indicted in January for illegally possessing three firearms and a large amount of ammunition while under indictment for a felony offense, and for threatening the president. On the heels of his first State of the Union address since re-election, President Barack Obama will be heading to Georgia where he plans to visit an early learning center on Thursday. Few details have been released about his visit to the Atlanta area on Feb. 14. However, Patch has confirmed that Obama will make a stop at the College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center in Decatur, Ga. His stop here is one of only two metropolitan areas he plans to visit following his State of the Union speech. President Obama will visit the College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center in Decatur on Thursday during his visit to the Atlanta area. The visit was announced Friday with few details, but College Heights Principal Suzanne Kennedy sent a note to parents about the President's plans to drop into the school at 917 S. McDonough St., according to Decatur Metro. The time for the President's visit has not been announced. No classes will be held for pre-K through 12th grade students in the City Schools of Decatur Monday-Friday because of winter break, but the 0-3 Tuition Program at College Heights will operate, according to an email from the school. Democrats wrapped up a second day of the national convention in Charlote, N.C., on Sept. 5. The keynote speaker was former President Bill Clinton. Clinton and President Barack Obama have not always gotten along - take four years ago, for example. Then, Hillary Clinton wanted to be president, too, and there was a fiery battle to the nomination. Nowadays, Clinton is behind Obama. And, he got a few comedic jabs to the Republican Party just to make sure it was clear.
