Norcross Baseball to Receive New Scoreboards
The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners approved a deal with the Norcross Youth Baseball and Softball Association during a board meeting Tuesday. The board also smoothed the way for some key transportation projects along Peachtree Industrial Boulevar
The Gwinnett County commissioners acted Tuesday (February 19) to smooth the way for a couple of key transportation projects. The board authorized the eventual condemnation of 17 properties along SR 20 (Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to Burnette Trail) and the SR 20 Bridge (Burnette Trail to James Burgess Road) projects. All are in District 1 territory. Gwinnett Transportation Director Kim Conroy explained that the properties will be condemned in the county's name, and eventually will be relinquished back to the state. To facilitate this, the Georgia Department of Transportation will reimburse Gwinnett about $1.8 million for the transactions.
