Norcross High is hosting a Wild West Carnival and Movie Night this Friday to benefit Norcross Relay for Life. The event, which is open to students and their families, will be filled with carnival games, food and music. Attendees will have access to booths with games and activities including a moonbounce, an obstacle course, face painting and a dunk tank. Once nightfall hits, guests will have the chance to watch the Wild West movie "Rango" on the school's practice field. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, and while no coolers are allowed, food trucks will be available. Movie tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. "How We Relay" is an original tribute to the fight against cancer that was composed and produced entirely by members of the Norcross High student body and Relay for Life team.
Norcross Relay for Life announced this week that they have released a song on iTunes to help raise funds. "How We Relay" is an original tribute to the fight against cancer that was composed and produced entirely by members of the Norcross High student body and Relay for Life team. Released on iTunes last weekend, the song is available for download for $0.99, with all proceeds to be donated back to Relay for Life. The song can be found here. "These students did a fantastic job and would love to have your support in their fight against cancer," said Norcross Relay for Life Chairman Doug Maloney in an email. Norcross Relay for Life have announced that the organization now has a partnership with California Pizza Kitchen at The Forum in Peachtree Corners. Every Friday until Relay for Life on May 10-11, patrons can donate 20 percent of their check at CPK to the Norcross High organization and the American Cancer Society. Just print out the flyer attached to this article and show it to the server, or present it via cell phone when dining. "Our students are very excited and passionate to support Relay for Life and help fight cancer and would love your support in any way, shape, or form," said Doug Maloney, the co-chair of Norcross Relay for Life.
