Thief Strikes Multiple Apartment Units

Gwinnett County police report that five apartment units were burglarized the same day at one complex in unincorporated Norcross.

Building No. 16 got the brunt of a recent night of burglarizing at the Oakwood Vista apartments located in unincorporated Norcross. Victims living on Coleville Circle reported that numerous items were stolen by the culprit or culprits during the daytime hours on Sept. 24, possibly after 7 a.m., according to the police report.  -- What measures do you think apartment complex management should use to protect its residents? Once police learned of one incident, they checked other units and discovered multiple burglaries. All but one of the burglarized units were in the same breezeway. So every day I get email with the Gwinnett County jail intake mug shots for our zip code to see where the criminals live. Most of the ones I see live in the surrounding complexes, not too many in this one, so that's good, relatively speaking. Annexation Series: Policing the Area

Officials say that controlling crime is one reason for the proposed annexation of land into the City of Norcross.
