Blue Devils Sign Letters of Intent

Six Norcross High football players committed to colleges on National Signing Day.

Six Norcross High football players signed letters of intent for different colleges on National Signing Day in front of a full auditorium. "We take pride in what we do on the field, we take pride in what we do off the field," said head coach Keith Maloof in a live broadcast shown on PlayOn! Sports. "These young men have done an outstanding job." The Blue Devils who signed Wednesday are: "I really wanted to thank my coaches and all of my linemen for being my friends over the years, and help me become the person I am today," said Ledford during his signing. National Signing Day: College Commitments From Norcross Schools

Norcross High and Greater Atlanta Christian have some players going to big-name schools.

Updated, 5:50 p.m. Gwinnett County’s football power reaches well beyond the Chattahoochee River, Blue Ridge Mountains and Okefenokee Swamp. How about all the way to the Atlantic, Pacific and Great Lakes? When National Signing Day on Feb. 6 hits Gwinnett, our favorite Friday Night heroes will officially decide where they’ll take their football skills in college. Some of them — like Archer’s Trey Cheek (California) and Central Gwinnett’s Trey Johnson (Ohio State) — will end up a long way from home. Others — like South Gwinnett’s Reginald Carter, Brookwood’s Shaun McGee and Buford’s Josh Cardiello — will be right around the corner. But what about Norcross schools?
