At a festive, well-attended ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday marked the opening the headquarters of Hyundai Construction Equipment of the Americas, Inc. in the City of Norcross. The new $10 million facility will bring an estimated 100 jobs to the area, according to the company. “We’ve learned that Georgia is a very business friendly environment,” said Hyundai Constructions Equipment Americas, Inc. President John Lim before official opening. Nathan Deal announced Tuesday (June 21) that Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. will locate its new headquarters in Norcross, bringing approximately 100 jobs over the next five years. “Hyundai Construction Equipment has a global reputation as a leader in providing its customers with innovative, high-quality equipment that serves all facets of the construction industry,” Deal said in a released statement. He said that Georgia’s resources are what attract global companies like Hyundai to the area. The facility, located at 6100 Atlantic Blvd., is expected to be a $10-million investment.
