Viewfinder: GAC in the Dome

Spartans win 49-10 at the inaugural Great American Football Classic.

Greater Atlanta Christian wasted no time in scoring during their game with rival Westminster, as GAC quarterback Delano Spencer connected with Kalif Raymond, who sprinted 77 yards for the Spartans' first touchdown only 1:29 into the game. With 24 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Greater Atlanta Christian's Lavondre Nelson took the ball and ran 67 yards for another touchdown, giving the Spartans a 14-0 first quarter lead. Greater Atlanta Christian expanded their lead by halftime to 28-3. Westminster's only score of the half coming on a field goal by Harrison Butker. Westminster's only touchdown came in the third quarter, when Wildcat quarterback Will Ruggiano found Michael Russel with a 53-yard scoring pass.
