The Norcross community is organizing a June 9th event called Norcross Together, a local grassroots movement aimed to bridge together residents of the newly annexed part of the city with the old. With the Jan. 1 annexation of areas from Buford Highway to I-85, the city has acquired numerous businesses, thousands of people and much diversity. The Atlanta Hawks are throwing a block party to celebrate the newly crowned city of Peachtree Corners and bringing with them the Atlanta Street Food Coalition’s Food Trucks. On Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. the Hawks will join up with the Atlanta Street Food Coalition to bring a day of great food, games and music to Peachtree Corners. The block party will take place at the intersection of Corners Parkway and Woodhill Drive (a block behind Chick-fil-A).
