Downtown Norcross comes alive with the Norcross Art Fest this weekend (Oct. 6-7, 2012). If you're heading down there, you might want to know where to park or where to find an ATM machine. Here is what you need to know about the festival, from festival organizers. Location Join us on the streets of Historic Downtown Norcross. All streets through the downtown area will close at 4AM Saturday, October 6 through 9PM Sunday, October 7. This event will go on rain or shine. Day-long event scheduled for Sunday, June 26, will raise funds for iPads for some local children with autism
According to the Center for Disease Control, autism affects an average of one in every 110 children born in the U.S. today. This is a 600-percent increase in the rate over the past 20 years and why autism is regarded as the fastest-growing developmental disability in the world. With more and more families affected by autism, a new foundation is in the process of forming in Gwinnett County. All in For Autism (AFA), currently in the process of going through the necessary start-up paperwork, is kicking off the new organization with a Family Day and Live Music Concert at Wild Bill's in Duluth Sunday.
