A Norcross man believes an ex-employee is behind a Craigslist sex ad that has caused him to receive harassing phone calls. According to the Norcross Police report, an officer spoke with the 31-year-old victim last Wednesday to talk about the incident. He told police that earlier in the week, he started receiving calls from people he didn't know. He asked one of the them where he found the phone number, and the caller said it was from Craigslist. Apparently there was an ad offering the "best [oral sex] in town," and his work cell phone was listed as the contact number, according to the victim. A man told police that he purchased invalid Rooms to Go gift cards, verified by an "employee" of the Norcross area store, that were supposed to be worth $1,000.
A man reported to have purchased invalid Rooms to Go gift cards that were supposed to be worth $1,000. A 33-year-old Dunwoody resident saw a Craigslist posting selling $500 gift cards. According to the Craigslist posting (which is now deleted), the gift cards were on sale for $350 but were worth $500. The Gwinnett County police report says the man met with someone who called himself Stan to buy two of the cards. On Sept. 18, the men met at the Rooms to Go located at 6288 Dawson Boulevard in Norcross, and a supposed employee of the furniture store checked the authenticity of the gift cards.
