After purchasing the Duluth coffee shop last year, the owners of Norcross' 45 South Cafe have changed the name of their latest business venture.
Chocolate Perks in downtown Duluth has a new name. 45 on Main, a café and coffee house, is celebrating its grand opening at Chocolate Perks’ former location on Main Street in Duluth. Keith and Jeanette Shewbert, who own 45 South Cafe in downtown Norcross, also own 45 on Main. They bought Chocolate Perks from founding owner Marsha Bomar and assumed ownership Aug 1. A new menu implements several new sandwiches and salads at 45 on Main. The menu still includes breakfast items. Both cafes serve beer and wine. Wine tastings are continuing at both locations. Led by wine consultant Michelle Nguyen-Foust, the wine tastings occur on the first Wednesday of the month at 45 South Cafe and the first Thursday of the month at 45 on Main. 45 on Main is …

Owners Keith Shewbert and Jeanette Osowski of 45 South Cafe are bringing back their monthly wine tastings at the cafe and their newest venture, Chocolate Perks in downtown Duluth. Wine consultant Michelle Nguyen-Foust, who worked with the owners two years ago and helped run the wine tastings and build the retail wine side of 45 South, is working with them again on growing the wine side of the two businesses. Patch spoke with Nguyen-Foust to get the scoop on the revived happenings. Owner Marsha Bomar announces the sale of Chocolate Perks in Duluth to Keith and Jeannette Shewbert of 45 South Cafe in Norcross.
Chocolate Perks, the café and coffee shop on Main Street in downtown Duluth, has been purchased by Keith and Jeanette Shewbert, who own 45 South Cafe in downtown Norcross. The Shewberts assumed ownership of Chocolate Perks on Aug 1. Marsha Bomar, a member of the Duluth City Council, announced she had sold the café, which she opened across from City Hall in February 2009, at a press conference early Friday, Aug. 3, at Chocolate Perks. Keith Shewbert, who bought 45 South when it was called Northern Star on Aug. 1 five years ago, is a former Norcross City Council member.
