Caleb King, a former football star for Greater Atlanta Christian Schools and Parkview High School, has been formally charged in the April beating of a man outside a birthday party in Minnesota. The Anoka County Attorney's Office in Minnesota issued a press release regarding the charges on Aug. 10. King, a 24-year-old Lilburn resident, has been charged with third-degree assault and fifth-degree assault for allegedly punching a man in the face, while both were at a birthday party, according to the release. Caleb King, a rookie running back for the Minnesota Vikings and former player for Greater Atlanta Christian and Parkview High, was released from jail Tuesday after being locked up for alleged assaulting a man, according to the Pioneer Press. King, who was released by the Vikings team, does not have any charges against him. He was jailed for three days under the suspicion of third-degree assault in Oak Grove, Minn. He allegedly beat a 22-year-old outside of a party last weekend, causing injury to his skull and nose.
