Gonzalez and Cox After the Game

In a video you'll only see on Patch, current Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez and former manager Bobby Cox said they both enjoyed playing in this matchup between the Braves All-Stars and Future All-Stars.

  Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez got a look at the future. Baseball fans got a chance to watch their major league favorites play in their own backyard.  A record setting crowd of 10,568 came to Coolray Field Tuesday night to watch The Atlanta Braves take on the Future All-Stars-- a team made up of the best talent from the major league team's farm clubs. And the future looks bright for many of the up and coming players. "They've got some good young position players there and some of those arms that came out of the bullpen, it was pretty impressive to see," said Gonzalez. Bobby's Back

Lawrenceville Patch interviewed retired Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox as he prepped for his one-game return at Coolray Field.

  Legendary Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox will make a return to the dugout tonight, although it's only for one game. Cox will lead the Future All-Stars team in a match up against his old team, the Atlanta Braves.  Lawrenceville Patch talked to Cox in the dugout before his team's practice at Coolray Field Monday afternoon. Watch the video to hear what he had to say about the exhibition game.

Cox To Manage Braves Prospects at Coolray Field Exhibition

The former Atlanta Braves skipper will lead a team of minor-leaguers against the parent club.

Former Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox will be a part of the exhibition game at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville on April 3, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Cox will manage a team of Braves farm system prospects in the game against the Braves, set for a 7:05 p.m. start. This will be the Atlanta Braves' final exhibition before their regular season opener on April 5. Cox retired as Atlanta Braves skipper after the 2010 season, and is the fourth-winningest manager in major-league history. Season ticket holders will be able to enter at 3:30 p.m. and will be greeted by former Atlanta Braves. Events for season ticket holders will include an on-field “meet and greet” with Braves players and prospects and a dugout Q&A …

Gwinnett Braves to Host Bobby Cox Day

The former Atlanta Braves manager will wrap up his tour of Braves Minor League teams at Coolray.

Legendary Atlanta Braves Manager Bobby Cox will wrap up his farewell tour with his own day at Coolray Field. The Gwinnett Braves announced Bobby Cox Day will be held at the Lawrenceville ballpark Monday, July 18th.  Bobby Cox figurines will be handed out to the first 3,000 fans. A lucky few will also get a "golden ticket, allowing them to take part in a Meet and Greet with the retired Braves Manager. A season ticket holder will also win the chance to escort Cox on to the field before he throws out the first pitch. Cox also threw out the first pitch at the G-Braves season opener. Braves fans can also ask Cox questions by submitting them on the G-Braves Facebook page. Those questions will then be asked live during an inning break at the game…
