Norcross Star Alvin Kamara Picks Alabama

The blue-chip Blue Devil picked the Crimson Tide over Georgia.

Star Norcross running back Alvin Kamara finally ended speculation on where he will attend college and play football. Georgia fans may not be happy about his decision. "It's been a long process," Kamara said during a live telecast of his announcement on ESPNU Wednesday afternoon. "Next season I'll be playing football at the University of Alabama." Kamara, ranked as the No. 2 running back in the nation by Rivals.com, led Norcross to the Class AAAAAA championship in the fall. Kamara's decision was the second dramatic National Signing Day announcement in Gwinnett County Wednesday. Earlier in the day, Grayson defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, the top overall prospect in the nation, chose Ole Miss over LSU and Florida. Check back with Patch for …

Which College Will Kamara Commit to on Signing Day?

Norcross High's running back Alvin Kamara won't announce his decision until just before he signs Wednesday. Robert Nkemdiche of Grayson High will do the same.

More than 20 Gwinnett County high-schoolers are expected to sign football scholarships with major programs on National Signing Day, Feb. 6. Based on commitments listed as of 2 p.m. Monday on Rivals.com, that’s a given fact. But the biggest question of the recruiting season — especially with SEC football fans — still needs to be answered. Who’s gonna land Nkemdiche and Kamara? If Rivals’ predictions are correct, Georgia and LSU fans will be disappointed on signing day. Gwinnett blue-chippers Robert Nkemdiche of Grayson and Alvin Kamara of Norcross won’t announce their decisions until just before they sign a National Letter of Intent. Or, at least, that’s unless one of those college recruiting gurus pulls it out of them before Wednesday. …
