An LGBT advocacy group in Chicago says the restaurant will cease donations to organizations that oppose gay marriage.
A lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy organization in Chicago says Chick-fil-A will cease donations to groups that oppose gay marriage. In a Sept. 18 press release, The Civil Rights Agenda wrote that Alderman Moreno, the man who led the opposition in Chick-fil-A opening a restaurant in Chicago, "has confirmed that Chick-fil-A will no longer give money to anti-gay organizations and that they have clarified in an internal document that the company will treat every person equally, regardless of sexual orientation." They really didn't say they were going to stop funding the Anti-Gay groups....see Keith's copy of the statement above. However, even if they DID...I still would not support them because they are straddling the fence. You either believe and stand by your convictions or you don't. But you don't change just because you want to open a new restaurant in Chicago! I guess the almighty dollar won out … more ›
