Ex-Business Partner Fights Owner Over Paint

Inside the Police Reports: The former partner threatened his life and fought him with a knife.

The owner of a Norcross company said his ex-business partner cut him with a knife and repeatedly threatened his life because of an issue involving paint last month. According to the Norcross Police report, the owner pulled into his business on the 5200 block of Brook Hollow Parkway one Monday morning. He noticed his former partner was parked and sitting in his car in the parking lot. The ex-business partner went up to the other man and said he was going to kill him, according to the victim. He then lunged at the owner and began to physically attack him while still in the car. The suspect also pulled out a 4-inch pocket knife and cut the victim's neck and shirt. Norcross PD Investigating Rape, Seeks 911 Caller for Witness, Evidence

Police believe the caller's incident may be connected to another case that allegedly took place in the same room of the Guest Inn in Norcross.

The Norcross Police Department is searching for an anonymous 911 caller alleging she was raped in 2012 because they believe the incident may be related to a similar case in Norcross. According to Sgt. Bill Grogan of Norcross Police, a man was arrested in early March on charges of rape and aggravated sodomy on a 21-year-old female he met at the Guest Inn off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Norcross. Police have asked for the suspect's identity not to be released. The victim told police that a week before the incident, the two met at a bar in Atlanta, and they exchanged phone calls. Man Accused of Almost Driving Into Police Officer at Norcross Motel

Inside the Police Reports: The officer stepped in the middle of the roadway to try to stop the driver at the Motel 6 off Oakbrook Parkway, but he just kept driving, according to police.

A Lilburn man is accused of nearly hitting a police officer with his car in unincorporated Norcross this month. According to the Gwinnett County Police report, three officers were conducting surveillance around 9:30 p.m. Valentine's Day at the Motel 6 off Oakbrook Parkway. The officers observed a gray Honda Pilot pull up to one of the buildings, and the male driver exited and walked to the second floor to meet with another man.  The driver, who was later identified as 27-year-old Phong Van, went back to the car and reparked it in a different space. Norcross Man Accused of Pulling Gun on Ex-Girlfriend in Front of Kids

According to a police report, Irving John Hall threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend after she told him he could not return to her Lawrenceville home. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

With a gun in hand, an ex-boyfriend threatened to kill a woman in front of her kids at their Lawrenceville home. According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the woman, who's in her early 30s, called police in regards to her ex-boyfriend coming to her home and threatening her with a gun Jan. 20. She told the officer that they had been dating for three years, but she broke up with him five months ago. Her ex, Norcross resident Irving John Hall, came into the home that afternoon after her brother let him in. The former flame approached her in the kitchen and, and after Hall became belligerent and aggressive, she escorted him out the door. Woman Threatens, Chases Husband With Knife

Inside the Police Blotter: The dispute intensified when the Norcross couple argued about her being pregnant with another man's baby.

A Norcross woman was arrested earlier this month after she threatened and chased her husband and caretaker with a knife. According to the police report, around 10 p.m. April 18, the couple arrived home in unincorporated Norcross after going out to dinner. The caretaker, 21, was at home and asked the husband and wife if they had a good dinner. They initially said it was good, but then the wife, 45, retracted her statement and called it "hell." The wife and husband, 44, began to argue about a laundry list of things: divorce, how she had been seeing another man in Forsyth County and that she was pregnant with his child. A man allegedly cut and repeatedly punched his pregnant girlfriend in the face late one evening this month in unincorporated Norcross. According to the Gwinnett County police report, the 32-year-old woman approached her boyfriend after he came home from clubbing around 4 a.m. on a Sunday. The man, 21, told her to leave him alone, so she went outside their home at Hampton Woods Apartments near Harbins Road. As she walked outside, she told police, her boyfriend grabbed a knife in the kitchen and ran after her. He allegedly pushed her to the ground and punched her in the face numerous times while the knife was at her neck. Her neck was cut in the process. Five youngsters said they had a gun pointed at them while outside a QuikTrip in the Norcross area earlier this month. Four women and one man, all in their late teens and early 20s, decided to go to the 6065 Singleton Road gas station March 4 around 4:45 a.m., according to the police report. The four women wanted to go inside the store, so they stepped out of the car while the man stayed. The four started walking toward the QT convenience store when two nearby men began verbally harassing them. Man Robbed, Beaten in Home

A heavily injured man said two men took $2,500 from him.

A local man was allegedly beaten and robbed of $2,500 in his own apartment last week. According to the Gwinnett County Police report, a police officer was doing a routine check at an apartment complex on the 5700 block of Singleton Road at 3 a.m. Feb. 27. While on the check, he saw a man came running through the complex's parking lot with blood all over him. The man, 36, told the officer how he had been drinking alone in his apartment when two men came knocking on the door around 1:45 a.m. that Monday. He didn't recognize them, he told police, but he opened the door. They pushed their way through the apartment and knocked him down. A man was shot and another was kidnapped last Saturday.

A man was shot and another was kidnapped last Saturday at an apartment complex in unincorporated Norcross. Units tended to the shot victim and the kidnapped victim was located later unharmed, according to police. According to the Gwinnett County police report, the incident took place at Arbor Mill Apartments on Graves Road around 7:30 a.m. Feb. 25. Three men and one woman, ages ranging from 19 to 23, met with police at the complex's entrance and told them how three to four men came into their apartment and shot one of their friends. A man was arrested for a domestic aggravated assault case where he beat another man with a baseball bat in the city of Norcross.

A man was arrested for a domestic aggravated assault case where he beat another man with a baseball bat in the city of Norcross. According to the Norcross Police report, the incident took place last Saturday, Feb. 18, around 4:30 p.m. on the 2100 block of Newbury Road. The Atlanta man had gone to his ex-girlfriend's house to pick up their daughter, and while in the driveway, an argument erupted between the two exes. Her new boyfriend appeared and told the ex to leave. Angry, the suspect grabbed a metal bat from his car and hit the boyfriend with it, breaking his arm.
