Family, Friends Pay Respects to Deceased in Spa Shooting

Around a hundred guests attended the funeral for the suspect and two of the victims from last week's spa shooting.

Around a hundred guests paid their respects at a funeral Sunday to remember those who died in last week's spa shooting in Norcross. The funeral for Tae Yol Kim, Kum Suk Kim and Jeong Soo Paek, three of the five people who died in Tuesday's murder-suicide, was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Lee's Funeral Home in Decatur. The funeral for the other two victims, Kum Hi Song and Byong Ok Kang, took place Saturday at the same location. Police say Paek fatally shot his two sisters and their husbands the evening of Feb. 21 at Su Jung Health Sauna in Norcross, then shot himself, according to police reports. The Korean-English service was led by the Rev. Dr. Daniel Nan Yong Choe from Dallas, where many family members had lived. Family and friends recalled…

Hundreds Attend Nick Jackson Funeral

The death of a Norcross High freshman brought together a crowd that filled practically every seat in Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

Hundreds showed up Saturday afternoon to pay their respects for Nick Jackson II, the Norcross High freshman who was fatally shot last week. The service was held at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church at 1 p.m. and lasted for approximately two hours. In addition to friends and family who attended, the Norcross High faculty, football team and cheerleading team, and members of the community also showed their support. "He was my best friend," said Garrick Glaudin, a freshman at Norcross High who played a receiver, the same position as Jackson. "He was a really good guy. I shared a locker next to him, so we would always joke and play around all the time. He was never mad. He was a good student and got good grades. There's nothing bad I could say…
