What's Going On Around Town

The Norcross Patch calendar is full of news about events coming up in the weeks ahead. Here's a look at five of this week's community events.

Monday, Oct. 7, 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. - Work session and regular monthly council meeting for the city of Norcross. Location: 65 Lawrenceville Street

Tuesday, Oct. 8, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Mega Networking Group at Belk's at The Forum. Join and Norcross Business Association, Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA), Johns Creek Chamber, and the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber for an evening of music, food, door prizes - and networking. Cost: $10.

Tuesday, Oct. 8, 5 - 7 p.m. - Food Truck Tuesdays at Pinckneyville Park Softball Fields. Each Tuesday in October, the Norcross Youth Baseball and Softball Association (NYBSA) will host Food Truck Tuesdays at Pinckneyville Park. These events will feature a variety of "curiously good food" plus live music and family entertainment.

Thursday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m. -- The Norcross Garden Club presents Charles Seabrook, and AJC columnist and award-winning writer. He will speak on Georgia: Its Beauty, Diversity and Natural Heritage. The event is free and will be held at the Norcross Community Center, 10 College Street.

Friday, Oct. 11, 7:30 p.m. - It's homecoming night, the Norcross Blue Devils take on the Collins Hills Eagles. It will be a tough regional matchup between two of the best teams in Region 7-AAAAAA.
