Bluesberry Festival is This Saturday

Find locally grown blueberries, blues artists, chef specials and a mini beerfest in downtown Norcross' annual event.

Feeling blue?

This Saturday is the city's annual Bluesberry Festival, filled with locally grown blueberries, blues artists, food specials and a mini beerfest, all in Historic Downtown Norcross.

From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., will be having a luau and Cuban pig roast for its second backyard barbecue party of the season. Munch on some local pulled pork with Cuban-Hawaiian style sides, sip on a selection of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, and listen to live music.

Other restaurants also will be having all-day chef specials inspired by the blueberry fruit (such as blueberry margaritas and blueberry mojitos), according to a press release from the city. Sample treats at the local shops, too.

At 4 p.m., will host a mini beerfest with concoctions from Monday Night Brewing, Terrapin Beer Company, Red Hare Brewing and SweetWater Brewery (SweetWater Blue, anyone?).

While there will be live music at Bleu House, has a whole lineup from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Truett Lollis, T-Grease Johnson and Little G Weevil are a part of the evening's bill, so grab a lawn chair or blanket and lay out in the park after enjoying some beer and food.

The Blueberry Festival is this Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Check out the full schedule on the festival page at aplacetoimagine.com.
