Wesleyan's Varsity Softball Team Rallies for Historic Regional Win

The win is the first such in the school's history, according to academy officials.

Wesleyan School's softball team made history Wednesday evening with its first regional win in the academy's history.

The final score was 11-9 over Lovett for the 6-AA title. In congratulating the varsity team, Wesleyan officials said on Facebook that it was, indeed, a history-making evening.

According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, Wesleyan trailed 5-0 in the third inning, but
then Riley Henning had a two-RBI hit in the sixth inning to tie the game.

Landyn Duley, Dacia Jones and Gabby Hernandez were also critical to added runs in the final innings, the Post said.
