Norcross Semifinals Roundup: GAC at Jefferson, Colquitt Co. at NHS

The Friday games start at 7:30 p.m.

Three Gwinnett teams have made it to the GHSA semifinals this season, and two of them are in the Norcross area.

Norcross High (13-0) is at home this Friday, Dec. 7, for its AAAAAA game against Colquitt County. The showdown will be the second time this season that the Blue Devils have faced the Packers, but before it was a scrimmage game. It was a close game, but Norcross stilled ended up winning 33-31 with two seconds left.

The NHS game starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets, which are $15, can be purchased at the game or in advance at the NHS front office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Off on an away game, Greater Atlanta Christian School (10-3) is headed to Jefferson High School this Friday evening. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased before noon Friday at the Spartans' Athletic Office in the Long Forum; after that time, tickets only can be purchased on the Dragons turf.

Citing the Maxwell Ratings, the Georgia High School Football Daily newsletter reports that Norcross is expected to win the game against Colquitt and the AAAAAA title next week. Class AA team GAC is projected to lose at Jefferson, according to the ratings.
