Norcross, GAC to Compete in State Basketball Championship

Three Norcross-area teams are headed to the state basketball finals this weekend at the Macon Coliseum after prevailing in the semifinals this past Friday and Saturday.

According to Georgia High School Association, the Greater Atlanta Christian boys defeated Laney 64-56 in the Class AA semifinals and will compete next against Bleckley County for the state title Friday, March 8, at 4:45 p.m.

The Norcross girls beat Langston Hughes 62-16 in the Class AAAAAA game Saturday at Georgia Tech. The Lady Blue Devils will play against North Gwinnett at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 9.

Also on Saturday at Tech, the Blue Devils boys defeated North Cobb 59-54. Hillgrove is the the Norcross boys' next competitor, and the game will take place after the girls' game at 8:45 p.m.
