Greater Atlanta Christian defeated Martin Luther King Jr. High 81-56, and the score was 68-67 Norcross in the game against DeMatha High.

Two Norcross-area boys basketball teams came out on top in last Saturday's Hilton Invitational, a series of games involving 12 teams from local Georgia schools and numerous states.

It was a close game for who also hosted the fifth-annual event. The Blue Devils defeated Dematha High, from Maryland, with an end score of 68-67, according to HoopSeen.com.

Calling it the "best game of the Hilton Invitational," the website gave special notice to senior Brandon Goodwin, who finished with not only 21 points but also the game's winning goal with seven seconds left.

The other Norcross school, Greater Atlanta Christian School, won 81-56 against Martin Luther King Jr. High in DeKalb County. The Spartans were supposed to play North Carolina's Olympic High from North Carolina, but the Charlotte team cancelled due to icy roads. MaxPreps actually predicted GAC would fall to Olympic.

The GAC player of the game was Isaiah Wilkins, who scored 16 points, had 10 rebounds and made nine blocks. HoopSeen also noted Colin Swinton's achievement of 19 points, 17 of which were during the Spartan's first half. The total is a personal game-high for Swinton.
