Norcross Basketball to Host Hilton Invitational

Players from Norcross High School, Greater Atlanta Christian and other Georgia schools are playing in the fifth annual event with players from other states.

Norcross High School basketball is hosting the fifth annual Hilton Invitational this year.

The school has assembled a 12-team field of strong, long Georgia teams and national powers to participate in the games, according to a press release. 

Players from both Norcross and Greater Atlanta Christian School are participating in the event, which is planned for Saturday, Jan. 26, at Norcross High. The full game schedule can be found at www.norcrossbasketball.com/hilton_invitational

Some notable players include Norcross' Terrance O'Donohue and Brandon Goodwin. Both are seniors and were picked for the 2012-2013 Atlanta Tipoff Club Boy’s Early Season All-Metro Team. Goodwin also made the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association's All-State team last year.

O'Donohue is committed to the College of Charleston, and Goodwin aims to go to the University of Southern Mississippi.

All attending schools for the Hilton Invitational include:

  • Norcross High School (GA) – State ranked Georgia team, Pre-Season National Top 25
  • Greater Atlanta Christian School (GA) – State ranked Georgia team, National Top 25
  • Miller Grove High School (GA) – State ranked Georgia team, defending state champions
  • Wheeler High School (GA) – State ranked Georgia team
  • Eagles Landing High School (GA) – State ranked Georgia team
  • North Cobb High School (GA) – State ranked Georgia team
  • Olympic High School (NC) – State ranked NC team, USA Today Top 25
  • Dematha High School (MD) – State ranked MD team, Pre-season Nation Top 25
  • Memphis East High School (TN) – State ranked TN team, defending state champions 
  • Flora MacDonald High School (NC) – State ranked NC team
  • Carver High School (AL) – State ranked AL team, defending state champions
  • Christ School (NC) – State ranked NC team, USA Today Top 25

Cost to attend the event is $10 for adults and $6 for students.
