Long-time Coaches, Best Friends Unite on GAC Wrestling Team
After decades of competition, Cliff Ramos and Steve West will be on the same wrestling staff at GAC.
Two long-time friends and wrestling rivals will finally be coaching on the same team this year at Greater Atlanta Christian School.
Steve West, who spent decades coaching wrestling teams in Gwinnett County, is joining his good buddy Cliff Ramos, who is the GAC director of wrestling.
The Norcross private school recently posted on Facebook that the two friends would be "together at last."
It seems that's not the only thing the two do together. This is the fifth year West and Ramos have have traveled in what they call "Coach & Pee Wee's Great Adventure."
"The only problem with that new arrangement," Ramos told the Gwinnett Daily Post, is: "I need to start practicing calling him Coach and not Pee Wee in front of the kids."
