Are you ready for another round of picks?

at Peachtree Ridge: This is another big game that will help sort out the playoff seeding in Region 7-AAAAA. Norcross (5-1, 2-1) is coming off a disappointing 29-22 loss at North Gwinnett, in which North scored all of its points late in the second half, including the game-winner with 16 seconds left. Especially damaging for the Blue Devils were four turnovers. Peachtree Ridge has sort of flown under the radar despite its record (5-1, 3-0). Last week’s 28-27 comeback win over Collins Hill was the tightest game of the year for the Lions, who have won five in a row. This game should be another great 7-AAAAA matchup between teams that could go far in the state playoffs. Both have star power, quick-hit scoring and aggressive defenses. Who makes fewer mistakes? Norcross 28, Peachtree Ridge 24.

Clarkston at : The GAC Spartans have been putting up points in bunches, including last week’s 69-31 win over Decatur.  Fact is, despite allowing a couple of opponents to keep pace early in games, GAC has had little difficulty running out to a 6-0 record. Make that 7-0. GAC 42, Clarkston 10.

at Duluth: The bad news for the Duluth Wildcats (3-3 overall) is that they are only 1-2 in Region 7-AAAAA. The good news is that there are three other teams — Mill Creek, Collins Hill and Mountain View — that are 1-2 and tied for the fourth playoff position with four weeks left. Even better news is that winless Meadowcreek (0-6, 0-3) comes to town this week. The Mustangs have scored only 22 points all season. The Wildcats scored 28 just last week in a 28-20 win over Mountain View. Duluth 28, Meadowcreek 6.
