Georgia Bulldogs to Debut New Uniforms Today

UGA's football team will wear markedly different uniforms for today's season opener against Boise State in the Georgia Dome.

It's not exactly like breaking out black jerseys or silver britches.

The Georgia Bulldogs will wear markedly different uniforms for Saturday's season opener vs. Boise State in the Georgia Dome.

The Nike Pro Combat uniforms are quite a bit different than anything Bulldogs fans are used to.

For spirit reasons, Georgia has resorted to one-game departures before, such as the "Blackout" vs. Auburn in 2007, or wearing silver pants.

However, the Nike outfit looks like something out of The Matrix. This is the same style that Oregon debuted in the 2010 BCS title game vs. Auburn.

If nothing else, the new design could get many fans talking about something other than Georgia's recent on-field woes; the Bulldogs are coming off a 6-7 season and have not played for the SEC title since 2005. Thus, a new look can only help.
