Garage Sale to Raise Funds for Youth Baseball

Swing by this Friday and Saturday to support the 12U Norcross Travel Baseball team.

The 12U Norcross Travel Baseball team is having a two-day garage sale this week to raise money for the Cooperstown Baseball Tournament this summer.

Twelve families will be having garage and yard sales Friday and Saturday, March 16 through 17. Sales on both days will start at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.

The usual items at yard sales will be up for purchasing: furniture, home decor, toys, clothing, shoes, games, accessories, kitchen items and more.

The garage sales will take place in the Riverview subdivision of Duluth, which is near Highway 141.

This is the youth team's fourth season playing together, and they hope to raise enough funds in order to help with expenses relating to the tournament.

β€œI personally think this is the best group of boys I have had the privilege of being around," said Lauren Smith, mother of one of the baseball players. "They are hardworking and genuinely kind both on and off the field. Cooperstown has been a dream for them since they started travel baseball in 2009, [and] through their hard work and dedication this dream has now become a reality. Thank you for your support!”
