GAC Wrestlers Take Silver

Greater Atlanta Christian School finished second at the Class AA tournament last weekend.

Greater Atlanta Christian School finished in second place at the Class AA traditional wrestling tournament last weekend.

It's the school's first traditional state trophy, according to a press release. A new school record was set when 11 GAC wrestlers made it to the state tournament with five senior wrestlers placing in the tournament.

“It was a pleasure to work with this team," said Coach Jeff Harsh.

Seniors who placed in the tournament: Caleb Bumpers, fifth; Parker Embry, fourth; Ethan Tolbert, fourth; Zach Feuerback, second; and Parker Fair, third.

"Our seniors, including Will Hemby, Will Parker and Dalton Duriez, will all be missed," added Harsh. "Blessings to these guys as they finish their senior year and move on to what's next in their lives.”

The tournament took place at the Arena at Gwinnett Center from Thursday, Feb. 16, to Saturday, Feb. 18
