Greater Atlanta Christian School stepped up to the plate to help a competing football team, which loss valuables stashed in a locker during a game.
According to WTVC News Channel 9 in Chattanooga, the Howard High School varsity football team stored expensive items -- money, cell phones, radios, and
iPads -- in GAC lockers.
The valuables were stolen during the Sept. 27 game. To help make up for some of the loss, GAC's head
coach Tim Hardy brought a $7,000 check to the team, along with headsets for the coaches, New Channel 9 reported.
"Sometimes our kids don't get the feeling of someone else caring about
them, someone outside of our school community," Howard's Coach Mike
Calloway told News Channel 9.
