While the UCW show won’t feature walls of hi-definition LED displays and elaborate pyrotechnics, the intimate venue will offer fans an up-close experience with world-class talent.

Owner and promoter Ronnie Gossett, a former pro wrestler himself performing under “The Shooter” moniker, has maintained a grassroots approach to the promotion, focusing more on quality versus quantity.

Friday’s show will also be the first of 11 monthly performances to follow at the trade center and will be recorded live for cable TV distribution.

Buff “The Stuff” Bagwell from Marietta, a former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) tag team champion and nWo (New World Order) faction member with many other championship titles behind him, will bring his brand of high-flying action to the ring this Friday.

Bagwell’s career has taken him around the world. And he’s recognized around the world for his chiseled physique, charismatic delivery, custom top hats, and catchphrase ”I’m Buff! I’m the stuff! And the girls just can’t get enough!”

And he’s shared the squared circle with some of the biggest names – and athletes – in pro wrestling history, including Kevin “Big Sexy” Nash; Scotty “Big Poppa” Pump” Steiner; Rick “The Nature Boy” Flair; Hulk Hogan; Lex Luger; and many more.

“This is going to be wrestling at its best,” said a fired up Bagwell.

“And it’ll be a G-rated, family friendly show,” Bagwell promised. “No profanity or half-naked women feuding in the ring; just flat out great wrestling. And that’s something that’s rare in today’s promotions.”

Bagwell’s return to the ring is an extraordinary one having beaten the odds from parallelization when in 1998 he broke his neck performing a flying bulldog maneuver against former rival and later tag team partner and nWo faction member Scott “Big Poppa Pump” Steiner.

This Friday’s card also is scheduled to feature former world tag team champions the Steiner brothers, Rick and Scott, who went on to make names for themselves and win championships with equal success in solo action.

Scott “Big Poppa Pump” Steiner is a 12-time world tag team champion (seven times in World Championship Wrestling, two times in the World Wrestling Federation and two times in New Japan Pro Wrestling with his brother Rick). He’s also a one-time champion in Total Nonstop Action and a one time U.S. Tag Team Champion with brother Rick in WCW.

Rick “The Dog Faced Gremlin” Steiner, a former University of Michigan collegiate wrestling standout that holds the school’s all-time record pin time of 15 seconds, is also a World Heavyweight Champion with the WCW and holds numerous other titles.

Other scheduled matches are expected to include the Rock’n’Roll Express; former Extreme Championship Wrestling standout and multi-belt holder Chris “Southern Comfort” Hamrick; Rodney Mack formerly of World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAWbrand; Johnny Swinger of Total Nonstop Action fame; Glenn “Disco Inferno” Gilbertti from Word Championship Wrestling, and many more. Card is subject to change.

Former World Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger is also scheduled to be on hand to sign autographs for a separate charge.
