"Running for a Cause"-Domestic Violence Awareness

FACTS

1. On average, more than three women a day are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends in the US.
2. One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.
3. Thirteen percent of teenage girls who said they have been in a relationship reported being physically hurt or hit.

This Event will raise awareness and funds for domestic violence and teen dating violence prevention, education, outreach and services provided to women and families seeking emergency shelter from domestic abuse situations. 

Our goal is hundreds of walkers and runners joining together a community to Speak Up and Speak Out against intimate partner violence and to celebrate courageous individuals who have survived domestic abuse.
