2011 Norcross Football Season Kick-Off

On Friday, August 5th, the Norcross Youth Athletic Association (NYAA) is celebrating its 2011 football/cheerleading season and its newly renovated football field. We are holding a 4:00pm Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the newly installed artificial turf and a 6:30pm Pep-Rally for all of our teams, fans and the community -- at the Cemetery Football Field facility.

The field is right across Buford Highway from Lilian Webb Park (behind the strip-shopping center). More directions and parking information is available on our website, under the 'facilities' tab: www.norcrossathletics.com

As an active member of the Gwinnett Football League of Georgia, the NYAA remains a staple of the Norcross community. The NYAA is a non-profit organization for youth football and cheerleading, serving mainly as feeder league into the Norcross High School District. Currently, the association has tackle football and cheerleading participants as young as 6 & 7 years old -- all the way through 8th grade.

NYAA’s motto is “Connecting the Community through its Youth”. So, come out and celebrate with the NYAA as we have registered several newcomers and many returning players from the surrounding community. Most anticipated will be the announcement of the Football & Cheer raffle winners of prizes such as the Apple iPad, a 32” LCD television, and a $100 gift card. Several vendors will be present during the Pep-Rally, so bring your dollars and donations to help support the teams.
