Basketball Scoreboard: Norcross Pulls in Wins, Meadowcreek Falls in Second Round of State Playoffs

The boys team for Greater Atlanta Christian won a second time, but the girls team wasn't so lucky.

After an all-win start for Norcross teams in the first round of the state playoffs, the second round brought in a mix of losses and victories.

Both Norcross High teams were successful in their games last Friday and Saturday. The Lady Blue Devils won 59-51 against Parkview in double overtime, and the boys defeated Archer 69-50 in their 14th straight win.

The girls team will play at Cherokee on Tuesday, Feb. 26, and the boys will host Berkmar on Wednesday.

While Greater Atlanta Christian boys took home a win against Spencer with a score of 88-56, the girls weren't so lucky. The Lady Spartans lost 61-59 to Kendrick on Friday, leaving them out of the playoffs. The GAC boys next will play Manchester on Wednesday.

Lastly, Meadowcreek High boys fell to Wheeler 96-52. They, too, are out for the rest of the season.
