Students, parents, faculty and community members came out to 's third annual International Night, a celebration filled with the diversity present at the school.
"Since we're such a multicultural school, we wanted to have an opportunity for our students to be able to display their cultures," said Assistant Principal Michelle Ransom. "We also wanted them to have the opportunity to express, celebrate and help us coordinate this program."
The event, which was held Wednesday, May 9, was part of the Summerour's International Week. Classes decorated their doors for contests, assembled an artifacts display in the front of the school and had guest speakers.
Wednesday's celebration brought guests to chow down on ethnic foods and see demonstrations on Spain, Bangladesh, Mexico, France, Syria and Nigeria.
Complete in traditional garb, students and adults alike danced, gave speeches and sang for the audience. The evening ended with a Caribbean limbo, which brought everyone to the gym floor to get low.
