Sales Tax Holiday Offered for Back To School Shoppers

Shoppers can get a tax break Aug. 10-11 this year. Gwinnett schools start back Aug. 6.

It comes after the start of school in Norcross and Gwinnett County, but back to school shoppers can enjoy a sales-tax holiday soon.

According to the Georgia Department of Revenue, the stateΒ will offer shoppers a sales-tax holiday on back-to-school goods on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10-11. Gwinnett public schools start back on Monday, Aug. 6.

The sales tax will be suspended then on general school supplies, clothing worth $100 or less, and computers and computer accessories.
