"Sherlin Palacios-Santana is an outstanding First Grade Student at Stripling Elementary School. She arrives each morning ready to work, with a positive attitude, and a warm greeting for her teacher. Besides being very intelligent, Sherlin regularly displays acts of kindness, team work, and positive peer interactions with all of the members of our class. Her respectful behavior towards the other students helps to create the type of harmonious environment other students need to thrive and feel safe. Sherlin listens attentively to instruction and directions, and responds to questions by raising her hand and waiting to be called upon by the teacher. Her conscientious effort to complete her home and class work assignments in a timely and high quality manner speaks volumes about her dedication to learning. She likes to read, and received an AR (Accelerated Reader) visor last year in kindergarten for reading achievement. Sherlin is a terrific role model for other students, and an outstanding representative of the nine first grade classes in our school!"
