Peachtree Corners Rotary Club Recognizes Summerour Student

An eighth grader at Summerour Middle was named the Peachtree Corners Rotary Club's Student of the Month for December.

The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club recognizes a student who has done something outstanding whether academically, athletically or through community service.

Recently, eighth grader David Prefontaine of Summerour Middle was named the club's Student of the month.

Prefontaine received the following proclamation from the school:

Summerour Middle School is proud to recognize David Prefontaine from 8th grade as our Rotary Club "Student of the Month."

David is described as an intelligent and delightful person. He is an extremely enthusiastic learner. He comes to class eager to acquire knowledge and is always ready to help out. According to his teachers, he works hard in the classroom and is a great student to have in class. In addition to English, David understands some Vietnamese and is learning to speak French. Outside of school, David enjoys taking care of his fish.  He plans to be a biologist when he grows up.

We are so pleased and honored to present David with this award. It’s great to not only have him as a student, but more importantly, to have him at our school.

He is a great role model for others. David is a Thinker, a Risk Taker, an Inquirer and a Communicator. He is also Caring, Knowledgeable, Reflective, and Principled. As a model student, he puts 100 percent into everything that he does. He is at the top because of his interest in learning and improving his performance.
