Rotary Club Recognizes Summerour 7th Grader

The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club recognizes a student who has done something outstanding whether academically, athletically or through community service.

Recently, seventh-grader Gabriela Pantoja of Summerour Middle School was named the club's Student of the Month.

Pantoja received the following proclamation from the school:

Summerour Middle School is proud to recognize Gabriela Pantoja from 7th grade as our “Rotary Club Student of the Month. 

Gabriela was nominated by her counselor as being an exceptional student. Her counselor has had the pleasure of knowing Gabriela’s family for several years. She has been a tremendous student and an asset to the school. Gabriela is a dedicated student and thus far her grades have been exemplary. According to her teachers, she works hard in the classroom and is a great student to have in class.  Her favorite subjects in school are Math and Science. She wants to pursue a career as a RN Nurse. Gabriela is genuinely interested in helping and caring for others. In class, she has proven to be a take-charge person who is able to successfully jump in and help out with any task from the ordinary to the most challenging. In addition to her academic performance, Gabriela also interacts well with her classmates. She is an articulate, polite, and motivated young lady.  Gabriela had been an active member in the school’s EYL program, (Emerging Young Leaders), as well as Band and JLC (Junior Leadership Corp). Her face lights up when you ask her to describe anyone of these programs. She just loves being a part of such organizations with leadership tasks and community service opportunities.  

Outside of school, Gabriela enjoys playing with her dog (Dingo) and helping her mother with her two little brothers. She loves to draw and she is working very hard to be tri-lingual by learning French. She is very family-oriented and a great role model for others. 

We are honored that Gabriela Pantoja is the Rotary Club Student of the Month. She is a very responsible student who reflects Summerour Middle School’s motto, “Creating a culture of excellence by working hard and being nice.”
