Rotary Club Recognizes Norcross Elementary Student

The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club recognizes a student who has done something outstanding whether academically, athletically or through community service.

Recently, Jeylin Jaimes-Ortiz of Norcross Elementary was named the club's Student of the Month.

Jaimes-Ortiz received the following proclamation from the school:

During my career as a teacher, I often have the pleasure of having one special student who really loves learning. This year, I am blessed to have Jeylin Jaimes-Ortiz as part of my class.

Jeylin is a very smart young lady. She is one of the most hardworking students in my class. She is very attentive when I am teaching. As a result, when I need a question answered, Jeylin is always willing to give an answer. She doesn’t mind taking a risk.

Jeylin is a girl that everyone gets along with. She is a very confident, soft spoken young lady. All of the students in my class like her. She is respectful of others and she cares about others learning.

Jeylin is a leader and a role model in our classroom. She treats others with respect. She believes in staying on task to get the job done efficiently and effectively. Settling for anything less is not an option for Jeylin.
