Rotary Club Recognizes Norcross Elementary Student

The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club recognizes a student who has done something outstanding whether academically, athletically or through community service.

Recently Norcross Elementary School student Jonathan Martinez, a fourth grader, was recognized as the club's Student of the Month.

Martinez received the following proclamation from the club:

"I have had the most esteem pleasure to share my love of teaching with a remarkable student, who puts forth tremendous effort and tenacity in every area of his academic studies. Jonathan’s deposition is an excellent example of a formidable student. He consistently attempts to achieve in all subject areas. Jonathan definitely makes my teaching experiences even more enjoyable with his inquisitive inquires and valid responses. He actually keeps me on my toes!

"Additionally, Jonathan displays many qualities which make him an outstanding student.  He is highly dedicated and hardworking. Overall Jonathan is extremely enthusiastic about learning. He even teaches his younger brothers at home.

"Furthermore, Jonathan is also a great role model for his fellow peers.  When given the opportunity he is always willing to lend a helping hand to classmates in any capacity needed. For example if a student needs a pencil or a glue stick, Jonathan is there to share and does so with a smile. He has such a caring spirit for others. 

"In closing, Jonathan is a well deserving student who represents a sheer desire and thirst for knowledge. He will continue to soar and thrive into becoming a strong leader, lifelong learner and superior role model for his peers. Jonathan has bright future ahead of him. Jonathan will continue to soar to higher heights as an Eagle. The half has not been told."
