Rockbridge Elementary Kicks off SCANA Energy Homework Center

The center provides a safe and structured study environment where students can complete their class assignments and learn proper study skills.

Rockbridge Elementary debuted its SCANA Energy Homework Center last week in Norcross.

The homework center provides a safe and structured study environment where students can complete their class assignments and learn proper study skills.  Each homework center operates with two certified teachers who are responsible for the total management of the program. SCANA Energy provides funds for the teachers, an assistant, snacks, and student incentives.

Last Thursday's kick-off event featured the Atlanta Hawks NBA Fit Clinic, which is the NBA league’s comprehensive health and wellness program that encourages physical activity and healthy living for children and families.  Coaches, athletes, and cheerleaders will share important health and fitness tips and interact with the homework center students at various drilling stations in the school’s gym on Thursday.
