Norcross Teacher Selected for Leadership Gwinnett's New Class

Jay Nebel also is Gwinnett County Public Schools' 2013 Teacher of the Year.

Jay Nebel, GCPS' 2013 Teacher of the Year, has been selected to participate in Leadership Gwinnett.

Nebel, who teaches at Norcross High, is among 42 new participants recently chosen for the 2014 class of Leadership Gwinnett. 

The participants' selection was based on work experience, accomplishments, community involvement and education, among other things. For the full list of participants, see the attached document.

As members, the class of 2014 will attend leadership retreats, learn more about Gwinnett County, participate in study groups and more.

The new class comes just as Leadership Gwinnett announces a new goal to raise $600,000 over the next five years, as reported in the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The fundraising is part of a new community-supported strategic plan, and a kickoff meeting is planned for June 19 in Duluth.
