National Merit Semifinalists Named in Norcross

Three students attending Norcross schools were named semifinalists.

Recently, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation named semifinalists in the 2014 award program, and several are from Norcross.

Approximately 16,000 high school seniors were named semifinalists, and they now have the opportunity to compete for 8,000 scholarships valued at $35 million.

In February, finalists will be named, and then National Merit Scholarship winners will be selected from that group.

Winners will be chosen based on their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

The Norcross-area semifinalists are:

Greater Atlanta Christian School

  • Carter Clinebell
  • Spencer Kemp
Wesleyan School
  • June O. Zhu
